Legitimate Excuses

In "The War of Art," Steve Pressfield talks about Resistance-- the enemy of all Artists. One of Resistance's greatest tools is the Legitimate Excuse-- a last-minute deadline, an important engagement, a premature birth, etc-- all of which are legitimate reasons to keep you from doing your work. It doesn't change the fact that they're still excuses, however, and no excuse is acceptable.
