Superpowers
When you are selfish, and focus only on yourself, and how your running is going, and how your training is going, and if you're improving, then you get caught in a selfish, self-centered feedback loop of failed expectations, and you're pissed at the world for interrupting or inhibiting your precious quest. If, however, you use your powers for good-- say, for picking up trash, or pacing a friend through a race-- it gets you out of your own head, reminds you that flexing your speed is an utter joy, and you end up running faster. Selflessness is good for your training .
