Michaelangelo’s Moses shows a seated figure with blank tablets, looking upon the burning bush that was not consumed by flames ready to carve the Commandments in stone. He has horns protruding from his curly hair because the original Hebrew– describing Moses’s face as he descends from the mountain– uses a word whose root means “horned” but was intended to connote “shining,” “emitting rays,” or “glorified.” Fun fact right anyways I left out the horns in the comic because shining faces are more fun to draw.
